So Saturday I got an idea, why not turbo the GT, since I had most everything I needed laying around. Although the turbo I used will be replaced with something larger, when I get the extra cash...

So Saturday night my father and I started.. We finished sunday night. Working from the old offroad H pipe, an old tail pipe, and some U bends I had laying around, I now have another turbocharged car.
Still have left to run cold side piping to the intercoler ( already mounted) and hook up an air filter and mass air to the turbo inlet ( about a couple hours worth of work) pull hotside off to coat, and ditch flowmasters.

Not bad for something thrown together in a day eh? Disregard the oil mess underneath.. My oil drain fitting was not sealed perfectly, and sprayed oil all over..

It's a similar sized turbo to the one I used on my 94.. 57mm TO4E, but with a T3 exhaust housing. The turbo is rated at 500 horse or so.. It's only a temporary turbo though.. I have to make the boost pipes! I'm itching to see where this thing starts making boost.. Because without the boost pipes, under normal driving,t he turbo starts singing around 2300rpm.. trying to not over rev the engine, as to not overspin the turbo.

Anyhow, I'll keep you guys updated, when I finish the boost pipes.

Yes, that is exactly why.. plans are SVT focus pump, Lightning mass air and 42lb injectors, along with an SCT tune.. 350 horse and I'm done with it.

Damn dude.

I hope one day I'll be skilled and rich enough to say, "hey I feel like turbo charging my car" go into the garage and finish it by the next day.
