mine was running strong untill i believe i killed the transmission..
revs as if in nutrual if i nail it off the line.. Hits initially, then slips outa gear.
Somtimes the convertor doesnt wana unlock in 1st, and stalls coming to a stop

Havent checked fluid level yet, so i could be wrong.
342ci of turbo power, Wasnt expecting a stock AODE to last.

Next step, suspension mods, rebuild AODE, or put a built C4 in it ( cheaper easier fix)

Im waiting for my car to sell to start mine. Gonna be a 306 forged, balanced and blueprinted with a single turbo, haven't decided on the size yet though, thinking t-66. Gonna just get a trickflow combo or something for the H/C/I i think, keep it cheap and still make killer power. Cant wait to dig in and get it going. :flag:

Mine is running great. I finished about a month ago and cannot wait to get home every day and drive it. The most fun I have ever had, in a car. I am waiting until fall when the weather cools off to get it dynoed. I am thinking about going to the track this weekend to see what it will run.

95GTVERT, Does that mean your taking your car off the streets since you live in CA? There's no smog legal turbo kits for CA are there?

By the way I'm in hayward where are you at?
well my car will never come off the street at worst i will take the turbo off for smog....i am used a stock style driver side header and a log stye pass side so switching out stock h-pipe and one header won't be too bad...i could even leave the turbo mounted just not hooked up...hahaha...or since i go to school in NV it maybe time to register my car there...but i know plenty of people with turbo's in CA that "pass smog"....as long as you have a cat and pass the snifer it's easy but if you dont pas the sniffer it's going to cost you some $$$ to pass if you know what i mean

I'm in Danville.

i used to go to sears all the time....in septmber i will be tuning at sac...but in aug. i will be a sears point with for some event dont know yet my friend has a booth and told me i was bringing my car....may or maynot have the turbo on then we'll see.

to coat my complete hot side including downpipe will cost me about $250.

lets see the price list for my latest and for now FINAL setup.

BBK headers: $60 used
T70 style turbo(comparable more to a 60-1 size turbo), good for 650hp, wet floating bearings...etc. $400shipped
TIAL style 38mm wastegate @9psi spring $155shipped
U bends $14/each pc 2.5" from summit racing, used 3 total, 2 mains and 1 for scraps $42
U bends $20/each pc 3" from summit racing, used 2 total for NOW, but will need at
U bends $14/each 2 1/4" from summit racing, 5 pieces $70
least another 2 or so. $40
3 bolt flanges 3"(2 pieces) $20pair
3 bolt flanges 3" into 2.5"(2 pieces) $20pair
Coating $250 for hotside only
cold side would probably be an additional $75 or so(not factored in at the moment)

GRAND TOTAL $1015(minus COLD side coating)

I think thats PRETTY damn good for a setup that will outdo a lot of things on the street.

LOW cost boost.

I am going to try to make a JIG or something for that matter and make a couple of these for you guys interested. Its pretty EASY to tell you the truth.
