Turn signal switch install?

Can someone post up some instructions and possibly pics? If you've got a link, that would work too. I havent' had much luck searching and I don't want to screw this job up since I don't have a Haynes manual on my 86 Capri.

if it the same as a fox body car its easy about 10 min to change in a mustang. u just need a star socket to take it off i dont remember the star size

That was it. I got the switch off the column, but now I can't get my lever to latch in the switch socket. It just pulled out of the old one, but it doesn't want to go down far enough in the new one.

Any suggestions?
