My tranny is shifting too quick and from what I've heard its the TV cable. I pulled out my Haynes manual and read how to adjust it, but it had no pictures. Im getting ready to come off night shift and haven't had a chance to look at it yet, but does anyone have a picture of this TV cable or can tell me exactly where it is? Thanks.

It is on the underside of the throttle body next to the throttle cable.

it's directly under and attached to the tb

it pops out from a rubber grommet in the tb

then you need to pop loose a retaining clip and it will shoot in. the further it goes in...the higher line pressure will be, firmer shifts higher rpms

you shouldn't go much more than about 1/4" off from stock

you can toast your trans from doing that
line pressure needs to be set.

Ok....I pushed the clip up and the cable move back and forth by grabbing the nut on the end. It stayed wherever I put it without pushing the clip down. Also the spring behind it close to the firewall doesn't seem to do anything but set there. So, should I go ahead and replace the TV cable since it has play in it? Thanks.
