While I admit most of those shows need to be taken with a grain of salt ...

Did any of you folk see the Monster Miata build up

I've always known that would be kinda fun to do :nice:

I must say now after seeing that show

That would be a W H O L E lot of fun to do :Word:

i saw the one with Stacy David on the show Gearz.
your right,Grady.
that project looked like alot of fun.

5.0 in a tiny Miata:eek:

if only i had the time, money, and a garage.

My sister had a 96 miata neat little car and as much as I would LOVE to put a 302 in one. After having to put a new convertable top on it those things are just far too small. I am not a tall person or overly large (5-11 and 210lbs) and getting in and out of that car made me want to do bad things.

Ummm, guys...

At least in the Pacific NW, being a member of the Miata club was not something you openly discussed, at least not with your average car-guy crowd.

I hope that was just a regional thing???

Talking about doing a "Monster Miata", punctuated by a dancing banana is just a little too much for me.:nono:

I'll stick to my stangs, thank you very much.

I kinda like the idea but if we were going to go to all that trouble and expense, it'd be better money (resale time) to just toss together a kit car. You can sometimes find ones that are half done for pennies on the dollar.

Sitting in a Miata reminds me of sitting in a MG Midget. They're fun but it looks weird when the driver has an arm hanging out the window on each side.

I like the show that was mentioned however. I like the host as well.

Yeah, but then you still have a kit car, if you put a 302 in a Miata, you at least have a real car. That Monster Miata kit has been around for a long time. They now do a similar kit for the Focus.

Friend of mine in Pinellas has a Kenne Bell Miata. The thing's set up for autocross - full roll cage and all. It's still a chick car though, IMO. :D

A shop in Tampa I know of has successfully swapped an Evo motor into a Mustang. :nono:

Monster Miatas are relatively well known to all car guys. There's one up the road from me that I see a husband and wife driving around. The only thing that gives it away is a "Monster Miata" decal on the back and the 3" exhaust,
