Tweecer on nitrous

I installed my zex kit with a 100 shot and it says to take 2 deg of timing.....what tables should i modify to do this?

It depends on where you have your timing advanced.

To me, the easiest way to play with timing is through the Scalars tab, under "Spark adder for WOT". If you haven't changed that yet, it should have a 0. Your dizzy should be set at stock 10*, that is how the Tweecer adjusts the timing through that scalar. The number 0 assumes you are at 10* on the dizzy, so the 0 represents no more advance. If you type in a 5 it will advance your timing a total of 15* at WOT.

I have one tune where that is 7 for 17* total advance, one with a 5, and one with a 3 for a total of 13*.

Are with the dizzy at 14* or are you running timing set in the tables (were one should be working to get commanded timing)?

If it is at the dizzy ONLY then the 100shot should be good timing wise if you move it back to the stock 10* setting. (assuming you had no det. at 14* N/A).

If your using the spark tables...

First tell us how you have them setup.

If you have a W/B target a commanded A/F of 11.5 to 11.8.

You may want to run a 1 step colder plug...and you may need to close the gap alittle.

Are you running the nitrous on the same car that the blower is on? If so, how are you pulling timing for the blower?

whell, i havent recieved the blower yet, so i should probably change my sig... Just the zex kit.
Currently my dizzy is at 10 deg and i was running increased timing tables with a tweecer tune. The zex kit assumes stock timing tables, and 2 deg at wot off that is what I need.....what should i modify?

There are several ways to tune the spark, for a full run-down on using all the tables, see the twEECer PDF manual.

For a simpler method, Set Borderline FN2200 and MBT FN2300 to all 55 then tune in the Sea Level FN2100 spark table (be sure to copy your spark settings to the Altitude FN2110 table also to keep Sea Level and Altitude identical).

Listen to blksn955.o about being safe, it's a lot easier to add spark than it is to change head gaskets. :-D

Have fun with it, do some datalogs when you spray it and send me a copy, I'd love to check it out.

ok, i ended up using a stock tune, spark table wise and setting my dist to 8 deg, then on my na tune i increased the global spark adder scaler to 2.....is this correct?

What version of the tweecer software are you running?

With the tweecer making a global change with something that can get far more detailed results is really a waste.

To gain control of the timing tables there are a few ways to do so.

Set the Boarderline/MBT/Altitude to all 55's and use the base timing table to make the changes (aka remove or add timing).

the other way is to have the Boarderline/MBT set to 55's and have the Altitude table match the base table.

For WOT N2O use you will be better off working the top 2-3 rows as that is the area of WOT...and you should NEVER spray when not in WOT.

The problem I have with just adding a global change is the mid/low load range can suffer and develope issues. The biggest is a mid load ping as the EGR is already at the mid 40's with regards to timing...and low rpm bucking can develope as well. With the correct control of the tables you can have the best of both worlds, stock drivability and WOT optimised timing.

It is always a good idea to run some logs to make sure your n2o tune is hitting the correct timing and A/F marks you need for n2o.
