I have a 2009 Mustang GT Convertible with the Shaker 500 stereo system. I am trying to buy a 3-way component system from Focal.

I was planning on placing a 6.5" midbass where the 8" woofers are now. And then installing a 6.5" midrange where the 5x7 is placed.

Where would be my best option to install the tweeter? I don't think it will fit in the same location as the 6.5" midrange. I wish it would since I'm going to hate cutting up my door panel. Any advice is more than welcome. Please let me know how your setup is working as well, to give us some more ideas. Thanks!

I haven't done anything but how about the a-pillar moulding or the rear view mirror housing (that triangular blind spot) depending on whether you can get to it.

I was wondering too if anyone has found a nice set of 3-way components? Ideally, I'd like to put an 8" sub for the midbass back in the door, a 5x7 or 6x8 in the stock speaker housing for trebel, and a tweeter on the door panel for the highs. No good 3 way component systems really stand out to me.

I've seen them flushed in the upper part of the door as well as the a pillar arms mentioned previously.

Had some pictures, but I don't know what I labeled them trouble tracking them down..
