That Supra only has 200HP at 4000. But still 900+ is nothing to take lightly.

twin turbo v8 should be pulling more than that though wouldn't ya think? i've seen single turbo inline six motors w/ stock internals w/ 934rwhp

YOu arent serious are you??Comparing two totally different cars with different setups and trying to make a conclusoin??

ok I have seen a roots style blower on a v8 making 5k+hp. why isnt this v8 making that

u sure?
cause' last time i asked them, they said it can never get CARB.
damn, i hate CA.
i hope they can make it legal like the Elderbrock turbo kit for honda civic. i would sell my KB to get the twin turbo in a heart beat if they are CARB legal
haha no its defintely not legal for cali, i just mean that if hes running it out here, makes it easier for me to justify putting a turbo on my cobra and having some real fun with it.

Um,no..it only has 15 psi and a unlocked convertor.Any time we lock a convertor it adds 50-60rwhp.So,if the convertor would lock(wont, tranny is bad) we would be sitting @ 750rwhp thru an auto with only 15 psi..
30 psi with the 67mm's wil put that supra to shame. The 700rwhp is just a good start for us.

Hey,I've seen a 4cylinder put down 400rwhp ..Shouldn't your V8 be making more then 370rwhp?
Get my point?

"The track was hooking well and the temperature got cooler as the evening wore on. On three successive runs, the car ran 9.96@142.18, 9.84@143.96 and 9.74@145.25, making my QS car the world’s quickest 6-speed streetcar in the quarter-mile! For the second year in a row, I won my class. Oh yes, Vegas has been VERY, VERY good to me. For these three runs, my 60ft., times were 1.58, 1.54 and another 1.54, respectively. My 330ft., and eighth-mile times for these runs were 4.30/6.49@112.89, 4.23/6.40@112.65 and 4.19/6.34@115. Too bad I was only able to get three runs in during the eliminations. I actually think there is more in her for the following reasons: (1) Vegas is at a higher elevation than Speedworld; (2) I ran 3 psi less in Vegas than I did at Speedworld a week earlier, with all of my dyno research showing, on average, I can expect about 20 rwhp for every pound of boost; (3) With my high-end ignition misfire fixed, the 145 mph pass at Vegas should produce a trap of 2-3 mph faster in Arizona, even faster at a track like RCR in San Antonio. Only time will tell, I guess. I’m just so happy to get that nine-second, 800-pound gorilla off my back!! There are videos of my car going down the track and on the dyno on www.WOTM.com."

Here,math for you.

15psi
non locked convertor

Add locked convertor 750rwhp(no a guesss,we know what it does locked)
Now add 14% for a race convertor(not my math, ask another racer, they'll tell you the same) verse a 5 pseed..
This car would see around 880rwhp with only 15 psi thru a 5 speed. So,Im 2-3 psi away from the supra.
This car will easily make 900 plus once its done. And I promise,it will run ALOT faster then a 9.7...

145mph with 900rwhp??

There are modular V-8's with 600rwhp and a 5 speed running 9.6 @ 140 ..Why is the supra with 900rwhp only trapping 145mph??

Do not confuse the young man. I doubt he realizes that supras really only shine on top end and no-one really makes their supra for 1/4 mile pulls. other than Titan,I cant think of many.

so, lol, is the block bored or stock bore? That was with race gas, damn a tad disappointing.

When you beat 8.76 @ 154 then i will really be impressed.BB 502, 400 shot of nitrous, 69 nova...a local pulled that with his car.Had inspection sticker, but at race time had dumps, and no wipers and that sort of stuff...but how many of us would pass inspection at the drags LOL.Procharger got their nova to an 8.16 at some odd 160 MPH on pump gas...maybe you can beat that and put one up for the Fords. Good job. Shows what cobra heads will do...as far as I know, its impossable to make 2V heads even flow as much as stock 01 cobras, much less 03-04 4V heads at like 266 if I recal correctly.Need to put togother a swap kit from 2V-4V heads, would work great on stock block even if used with a S/C, due to the lower compression...I for one would buy it (as long as it isnt TOO much $$$) if ALL the parts needed were supplied, maybe even minus the heads, just a kit to convert, with GOOD instructions.

This is a street car that I will only be running it at the strip. But I did think about trying to get it smogged here in SoCal just to see if I could.
