I gave you a tip.. and that tip is to check out a forum that has knowledgeable people who can answer your questions using factual information, not just guesses and opinions.

In this forum, you're looking at maybe 3-5 active people who are actually knowledgeable about turbo setups in Mustangs.

I would hate to have you steered away from pursuing this simply because of what a few people might say to you (just wait for the "turbo is too hard, just get a vortech" response) , so please do both of us a favor, and check out the link I posted before you make a decision.

Im one of those 3-5 people :D

My way may be a bit expencive, but it will work.

First things first, WHAT KIT DID YOU BUY?

Next, your going to need one heck of a fuel system...your BEST bet is to go with a cobra fuel basket/tank setup and replace the dual cobra pumps with two Ford GT fuel pumps.

Go ahead and get 60# injectors, because you KNOW your going to want to turn up the boost later on.

Make sure he has a TB and plenum also, along with a spec STG 3 clutch or equivelent, and most importantly a GOOD dyno tune! With the 60# injectors, the tune that they may provide will not be near correct....if your tuner is a long drive, A. trailer the car there or B. put the stock injectors in and drive over there (VERY carefully...do NOT get into boost) and then pop the 60#ers in.

If you have anymore questions, just ask....and I agree with the above, turbomustangs would be the better place, BUT most of them are 5.0 guys and dont seem to like the 4.6 guys much. And if you have questions about the twin Ford GT pump setup, there is plenty of info on that @ www.svtperformance.com and www.modularfords.com ....just login and use their search functions :)

:rolleyes:
honestly i dont think you are capable of this swap at all, considering you cant spell or type worth a crap it would probably be pretty hard to comprehend how to put this together :nice:.

whant=want

is the 98 a return style fuel system or non?? and isn't the dual tank setup only for non return cars??

WOW glad you mentioned that...I have 99-04 stuff stuck in my head as im a 99-04 guy :bang: . Yes from what I recall it is a return style, and IMHO thats a much more desirable setup. Im not up to par on exactly how its setup in the gas tank, but you can setup them up to flow some SERIOUS fuel. They have much more potential then what the returnless guys have.

I know HOW it works and what to do on a custom setup, but I dont know if there are easier ways to go about setting up the correct fuel system for this car. Those sites I listed should have any info you need....also www.modularpowerhouse.com will have alot of info. Sorry im not up to par on this :(

hi, thanks for the info i'm buying stage 2 kit from www.turbochargedpower.com i can get bigger injector for some extra money i whant at least 60pounds because i whant boost and yes this car has return line and i can't put dual pumps in this car, this tank does not alow to do that one 255 in tank and the other one outside because this car came with 97' tank. Any other info thanks
