How to fit these things in is my question? I have (2) 9500 Subs. Each require 1.25cu/ft.

I was thinking of using 2 Boxes because of how small the opening in the trunk is. MTX Recommends a 1" MDF front and 3/4 the rest.

Anyone make a 1.25 Box with 1" Front that i can easily install threw the trunk side?

What size are the subs? Are you running them ported or sealed? How much power are you putting to them? The proper box size depends on a LOT of different specs and what the install is, there isn't a one size fits all box that works for each sub no matter who's using it. And I wouldn't bother getting two sheets of MDF just for the extra 1/4", just do a regular double baffle with the 3/4".

These subs are huge. With 2 of them I would run them sealed, espically in a convertible. If you are looking for something that can be taken out of the car, the best advice I can say is find some cardboard and make it into a box to see what the maximum thing you can fit in it is. If you still have the mach system, it will create even less space in the trunk too. The are similar to JL W6v2 or maybe borderline W7's.

What are you going to power them with? go to caco.com or stevemeadedesigns.com for everything car audio.
If you have enough power you could get by with one, if you know how to use fiberglass you could mount one on each rear corner of your trunk and save space so you could still fold down the top, and the seats to haul bigger stuff......

Until caco.com get's cleaned up, I'd stay away from there, people who aren't REALLY good with audio just get flamed and get no help. I'd check out Realm Of Excursion instead, a lot more laid back and helpful to the new people. And I wouldn't do the corner mount with 9500's. I've never been a big MTX fan, but people seem to run quite a bit of power to the 9500's with good results. I don't see how you're going to get away with not just constructing the box IN the trunk and it not being removable. Just because you purchase a big, high power handling subwoofer does not mean it will work in a tiny box. The box is 90% of what your final product ends up being, and with what you purchased, you pretty much need to just be prepared to build the box inside the trunk and not have ANY trunk space left when you're done...

Im not concerned with trunk space. MTX requires 1.25cu/ft per sub. i was thinking of getting 2 sealed boxes. I had one in there before and it was fine. Maybe ill just put the second one in my towncar if i cant get 2 sealed boxes in the mustang.
