I've been able to solve two problems by reading the forums here. very clear information. I want to thank you all.

1: Air not going through front vents: vacuum hose disconnected from driver's side vacuum T.

2: AC not working: Compressor only comes on via ac cycling switch bypass trick, bad switch.

I have one more that needs to be fixed; My headlight chime does not work. As a mater of fact, the only chime that works is the seatbelt alarm.

There are no cut wires close to the chime module.
There are no bad fuses.
Door ajar chime does not work for either door.

So, I'm a little stuck. It seems that the key in sensor works, because of the seatbelt chime. The chime module itself seems fine. It must be the door open circuitry.

I'd appreciate all the help you can give me, diagnosing or fixing this.

This is a 1996 3.8l convertible.

P.S. This is a salvage vehicle after a rearend colission I was told.

Thanks.

Hmm... My logic may be flawed. Is the car supposed to chime when it is turned off, key in ignition and door open? It is not doing that. (That's what my other car does)
If so, then I need to have a better look at the ignition switch after all.

I'm just going to keep bumping this in the hopes that someone'll be able to chime in. pun intended.

Third problem fixed: (Odometer not working) thanks to "Pictorial Guide to Odometer Gear Replacement" here in this section of the forum.

I'd still like to hear from someone to tell me about all the chimes this car is supposed to have, and when exactly they occur. This will help me diagnose the problem.
