typhoon+thumper+bcam = decent??

Anythings better than the stock intake. I used a Typhoon on my stock long block and it opened up the top-end breathing significantly. This month in HOT ROD they did a 5.0 buildup and a RPM II was worth about 20hp over the H.O. intake with (stock) E7 heads, so the Typhoon will be worth about the same HP. And dont waste your time with the B cam its WAAAAAAYYYY outdated!

Theres been dyno proven results where a stock ported lower makes more overall power then a cobra intake on ported e7s.. The cobra has a bit higher peak hp number in the upper rpms but the powerband is fatter with a tmoss ported lower.

well the b cam is set in stone. i already built the shortblock and its in there so.....

The B cam is a good little cam and I really like mine. That being said as soon as I can I'm getting a TFS stage 1 as it makes more power, has better driveability, and gets better gas mileage than the B303 (I've witnessed this on my brother's car). If the motor isn't in the car yet I'd recommend looking at the TFS cams, but you'll like the B cam. I personally like the Edelbrock over the Typhoon as the workmanship that I've seen on a friend's Typhoon looked a bit rough. If you go with the GT40\Explorer\Early non-chinese Cobra or the Edelbrock I think you'll be happy.
