Why is it that every mustang 5.0 i see on the road (im assuming 100,xxx + 5.0's) seem to have large quantities of white smoke billowing out of the exhaust when they lay into the gas? Havent got a 302 up there in miles, but i was curious if this is a STOCK problem, rings, etc?

Thanks.

White smoke in the most extreme cases is coolant burning/evaporating - whatever you want to say. 5.0's may be infamous in reliability but they are natorious for oil consumption - but that would be indicated by blueish smoke. Sure that "laying into the gas" aren't your tires saying see-ya on the pavement? :D
