U-Joint Grease

I finally got around to swapping out my old rear u-joint today. I noticed I had some slop in the joint when installing a new exhaust several months back, so I picked up a new one. I was happy to see the u- joint came with a grease fitting, so I'll be sure to hit it with some grease from time to time.

I'm assuming the u-joint takes regular wheel bearing grease. Is that correct? Also did the original Ford u-joints come equipped with grease fittings?

Chassis grease, yes.

Also did the original Ford u-joints come equipped with grease fittings?
No, which is a real problem for hard-core show cars.

when i lube my U-joints, i use disc brake wheel bearing gease as it is designed to handle higher temperatures.

Just remember that whatever chassis grease you use, for Fords it has to contain molybdenum disulfide.
