Sorry about the vagueness of the title, I don't know the proper way to explain it heh.
Started her up today and did the 'ol smoke a cig while she warmed up ritual. She was idling just fine for a few minutes then it started to get iffy, dropped a lil in RPM's and sounded a little rough. Took her out for a spin to see if maybe it was just some dirt I needed to pass through. It was better but not how it has been. Decided to clean the air filter (just got through pollen season here in GA anyways) and put an inline fuel filter in that I've been putting off. Took her for a spin a few hours later and all seemed well, even the tranny was kicking down a gear nice. On the way back home I decided to get on it and see how it faired, but once I got in the upper RPMs I couldnt tell if it was a backfire or a sputtering or what, basically she wasnt going to fire much longer. Coasted into the turning lane to my neighborhood, sat for a few seconds and she cranked right back up. Pulled into my garage, did a rev in idle and the RPM's started to drop again and get rough.
Any suggestions? Dirt in the carb? Fuel filter restricting too much flow? I don't really want to adjust the floats and idle screws since this little chilly spell should only last a couple days. Temp was about the same when I adjusted them last a month ago anyways. Just rebuilt the carb a month ago as well...been running perfect since, hope it's not time for another already lol.
