Deicided to clean my rear wheel wells and spray some fresh undercoating in them as well.

I also did some other cleaning while I was at it.

I thought I would share with some pics.

The car resting in the garage hooked up to it's battery tender.

Took the wheel off and this is what it looks like before cleaning.

The cleaner of choice was Simple Green diluted 4:1.

Here is the wheel well cleaned up ready for undercoating. I covered up everything with an old sheet and some painters tape.

I used Permatex Rubberized Undercoating.

I did 2 coats each. Here is after the first coat.

While the first coat was drying I decided to get some polish out for my wheels. Adams Polishes is the weapon of choice here.

Here is the inside of the wheel before polishing.

Here it is after. :-D

While I was at it, I decided to wipe the cat back down as well.

And here is the wheel well after it was all finished.

And the wheel back on the car for the finishing touch.

The passenger side wheel all cleaned up.
268216.jpg

In between coats I had a fan to help dry things a little and help with the fumes.
268217.jpg

And heres a few pictures of the passenger side well completed.

And finally the passenger side wheel.

I also added a few pounds of air pressure to the tires while they were off as both were a little low due to the cooler air.

All in all I think everything went well.

I wish I had the time, and the Mustang worthy enough to do that... Holy crap your car is even more immaculate than when it rolled off the assembly line...:jaw:

Awesome job.
LOL... Thanks.

WOW!!!! Man You Car Is Always So Friggin Clean, Thanks for being a mustang owner that actually takes care of thier stuff. People around my area with mustangs treat them like crap.
I know what you mean. I hate to see that. I see it almost every day.

I have worked hard all my life to be able to own a Mustang so why not take car of it.

I just like it to be the best it can be and be able to share my passion for Mustangs with other enthusiasts. :nice:

Thanks for the kind words.

Next, it's on to the front wells and some more undercarriage work. Then I will tackle the interior, followed up by the paint.

Oh, and then I have to install my new fuel system. LOL...

It's never ending.

That........is..........AAAAAAAMMMMMAAAAAAAZZZZZZZIIIIIIINNNNNGGGGG!. Seriously if the weather around here would clear up and stay clear for a while i would love to go out and detail the chit out of it. Very nice, and props you my man:nice:

*sneaks over to Kevins house and smears mud on bottom of car*

:D

I am having my undercarriage steamed at the shop and I will be detailing it but my car has seen too much weather to be that clean.

Its nice seeing a car that gets driven (yes 04sleeper does drive it, ive seen it) also be clean enough to sit in a museum :nice:

LOL.. Thanks Bill. I try to drive my car every weekend. It's too much fun to just let it sit.

Funny story, I was at the dealer a few weeks ago getting some paper work for my wifes new Explorer and I was commenting on the GT500 sitting in the show room. It was FILTHY!!!! Even my wife noticed how dirty it was for sitting on a showroom floor and supposed to be the center of attention. LOL.....

Simply Amazing.... Keep up the good work!
Thanks man.

:rlaugh::lol:HA! Being a FORMER Ford dealership lot boy, i NEVER let any of the stangs in the showroom look nasty, GT500 included. Thems are some sweet rides. I'd still rather have a pimp arse Termi like yours but ya know:nice:
