Undercoating removal

My car was undercoated when it was new in 1991. The dealer managed to get over spray in various areas of the engine bay, etc... Any tips on how I can remove the undercoating.

I always use laquer thinner. I use it all of the time In my shop on this stuff and also on the rust proofing that Zeibart puts in the door jambs. Put it on with a rag and just rub lightly it will come right off.

Not sure that clay bar would work? I guess I should have been more descriptive. It is more like raised splaters or entire areas cover in undercoating. I think the clay bar might work in the sections that are more like "paint over spray"
