As most of you know my pony is in need of a nose job, and when i took the fenders off i found some slight surface rust underneath, So while i have everything apart i would like to undercoat everything with a good rubberized coating..
Anyone used some stuff they can reccommend? I want some stuff that will last a LONG time, and preferably in a spray can...

Well they really only sell one kind at the parts store that I've ever seen. Mar-Hyde I think? I can't remember. I noticed Autozone has their own generic undercoating now too.

It's rubberized asphalt undercoating. I've used it on my car, it seems to work pretty good. Just keep in mind that because it contains asphalt, it's messy as hell, and don't get it on anything you don't want it on!

Doc, this is the good stuff, made by 3M. A little steep for an aerosol can, though!

You can also buy it by the quart and use the special gun

I myself, used the stuff they sell in aerosol cans at Kragens and Autozone. I was very pleased. Went on smooth and thick. It's actually pretty tough stuff. I did the same thing to my Dodge. It still looked good after driving it for 10 years. The nice part is, if you need a touch up, it's only a spray can away! Here's a pic of Thunderstang after I undercoated it with spray cans......
