I was wondering what your guys water temp. is with these things on? Mine is sometimes straight out and a little higher, then other times it is right were it was when they weren't on... is this normal?

The stock gauge simply isn't accurate enough to use as a measure; you need an accurate aftermarket unit to really diagnose what's going on. Even with the gauge, there are so many variables car to car, engine to engine, location to location, traffic patterns, etc. that what someone else is experiencing simply isn't applicable to your issue. Most underdrives significantly (as much as 25%) slow down the pump and fan - and at low engine speeds in hot weather, some folks have temperature issues, as well as charging issues. You'll just have to see if yours will work or not.

Mine takes longer to cool down, and at idle it doesnt charge.I guess my next mod will be a 3G altenator,LOL....Hey Mr. Yount, that Volvo emblem on top of your intake is totally unique, and awsome :nice:

I've got Mac Under drive pulleys, Electric fan, 180* thermostat and it's never gotten above the halfway mark on the gauge. Usually hovers around the "A" and the "M" in the N-O-R-M-A-L setting. I've got a 130A conversion on mine and although the gauge no longer dips below the 12v mark at idle anymore, I don't ever recall having a dead battery with the old one. I just upgraded because I got the alternator for nothing.

same here underdrives with electric fan

No cooling problems but I do have a huge radiator.
I did have some charging problems when I was running my light,sterio/amp and heater.

I would drop down pretty low but never actually drained the battery dead.
I did get the dimming lights when my bass hit really hard.

I put a lighting cap in the amp power line and it fixed that but I still want to add a 130a just to make myself feel good.

you are doing all that with a 2G? with nothing on, at idle, with the blower motor on the middle setting, i discharge. or with just headlights and fogs.
