I just ordered these U/D pulleys yesterday: http://www.rpmoutlet.com/musv6asp.htm

Has anyone had any bad experiences with them? Anyone have any charging problems with the same set i bought? I heard that you need a "pulley puller" to take off the stock pulleys safely.

Anyone have any charging problems with the same set i bought. 2003 V6:
MOTOBLUE™ H.O. PULLEY KIT
MOTOBLUE™ H.O. Water Pump Pulley
MOTOBLUE™ H.O. Power Balancer Pulley Kit
Correct GOODYEAR Gatorback Belt
Adds up to 14+ RWHP(up to 4% fuel economy)

I have the same set of pulley's, no charging problems but I only have the Mach 460 sound system. Only problem I've had is that the belt was really tight when I put it on and it only lasted about 1,000 miles till it busted off somewhere along 4 miles of road so I had to sit for about 4 hours till someone came and brought me and my car home for me. So I would suggest getting a new belt thats just a tad bit bigger if yours was as tight as mine after you put it on.

You'll need a puller/pusher set and a new belt... And I haven't got mine on yet 'cause I can't get the crankshaft pulley off... and I'm more concerned with other mechanical details at the moment...

Damn I hope my belt doens't brake. I'd be one pist off kid. My car didn't come with a Mach 460 system but I bought a complete package off of eBay which will get installed soon.

You listed a belt, so I'd assume that'd be one that fits.

i have mac pulley's on mine..although i didnt use the alt pulley, just the crank.the alt pulley wouldnt work..but i had to put a smaller belt on it..been on there for 20,000 miles or so ,no problems...Not sure if the alt pulley was a factory defect or what, but never could get it replaced..Not sure if the place i got it from droped the ball or what, but they had my pulley a month or so and just ended up goin back and getting it back..it might not have worked ,but i paid for it to..Havent contacted Mac myself on the issue.

Yeah the place I ordered it from includes the "correct" sized belt. Hopeful it comes soon, and hopefully it'll all work out.

Go to Autozone and rent a pulley puller, there is no way you can get it off without it. Also, getting the new pulley back on was a task and a hald for me. Be prepared, but I love my UD pulley and havent had any trouble.

I have the same ones and no problems. I have an optima battery, aftermarket sound system, alot of aftermarket engine work, ...blah blah etc. and I have no problems with them at all, actually when I put them in the car ran better than it did with out them, 'cause I had the mach 460 taken out and replaced with different stuff and that kinda made the car run a little weird somtimes but when I put them in everything cleaerd up.. don't know why.

Awsome. Thanks for all the responses. My pulleys came in the mail today and the water pump pulley was all messed up, chewed up and scratched, but they are sending me another one. Autozone rents pulley pullers? I bought one for like 30 bucks and never opened it so if this is true at the one by my house I shall do that instead. I'll let everyone know how the install goes on my Stang.

Cool. I think you can rent pully pullers and other such stuff. You're gonna need a few other things like lok-tite and a little grease and such.

...Did you get the Diablo Predator with them?

I didn't order the Diablo Predator when I ordered the U/D Pulleys because I'm an idiot. I called them to see if I could order it for the difference of the price and they said No. I'll just buy a used one or someting. Anyone got one they dont need?

Yeah you can rent tools from Autozone for a deposit. I rented a pulley puller and a torque wrench, 90 for the wrench and i think 15 for the puller. But I just returned them 2 or 3 days later and got all my money back. Good deal, free rental.

You only need the puller for the crank pulley.
