Hey im new on here, just got a 02 gt 5spd..been saving for a while for it (about 4 years)..im 16 and that is my first car and im wondering about underdrive pulleys.. from my understanding i hear the alternator pulley messes with your headlights/electronic accesories.. are they worth it and do they acctually mess anything up?

There worth it, the only time that you will have issues with charging, is when your at a stop light, while your driving, no problem whatsoever. For me, the performance gains were deffinately worth it.

you shouldn't have a problem with charging that because we have a high output alternator that even with the pullies you wont see your lights dim. I have them and everything is working properly on my 91' fox body though they do i have to get a bigger output alternator...

I have em as well. The only time I notice anything is when it idles for a long period of time, the battery charge goes down a bit, but nothing major. I'd go for it.

I do not recommend underdrive pullies to anyone. The cost and the risk to your car are not worth 5 horsepower in my opinion.

I also have Steeda U/D pulleys and they didn't effect any of my electronics in the car. It runs just the same as before.

They (UDP's) are fine unless forced induction is in your future. Be sure to keep your stockers, no matter what.

I don't it should be an issue unless you idle your car for hours on end, which is in itself an issue. I am pretty sure the Bullitt was underdriven from the factory and it has not had any recalls due to improper charging or anything of that sort.

the blowers aren't made to be used with the underdrive pullies.

Nice job on saving your own money for your own car. UDP's are one of the cheaper mods for a nice little gain.

Do not only use two pullies, and leave off the alternator pully. The aftermarket underdrives will be different sizes from your stockers, but in the end, they yeild the same distance for the belt to travel. So, you will need all three two prevent problems with them.
