Hey im new on here, just got a 02 gt 5spd..been saving for a while for it (about 4 years)..im 16 and that is my first car and im wondering about underdrive pulleys.. from my understanding i hear the alternator pulley messes with your headlights/electronic accesories.. are they worth it and do they acctually mess anything up?

that was fast reply..so if im playin my mach 1000 system, headlights on, and all that good stuff..it wolnt be a big deal..also what if i just put the water pump and crank pulleys on there..can you do that?

you shouldn't have a problem with charging that because we have a high output alternator that even with the pullies you wont see your lights dim. I have them and everything is working properly on my 91' fox body though they do i have to get a bigger output alternator...

I don't it should be an issue unless you idle your car for hours on end, which is in itself an issue. I am pretty sure the Bullitt was underdriven from the factory and it has not had any recalls due to improper charging or anything of that sort.

Do not only use two pullies, and leave off the alternator pully. The aftermarket underdrives will be different sizes from your stockers, but in the end, they yeild the same distance for the belt to travel. So, you will need all three two prevent problems with them.

i have bbk udp, i had the alternator on there for a minute and had problems when starting my car. i would turn the key..and just get that tryin to wake up sound. i just swithed out the bbk alt. pulley for the old one and no problems whatsoever.
