Underdrive pullies on a 2003

I was doing a search and came upon an old thread from late '02 or early '03 with what I feel are a few "myths" about the '03s. The thread starter claimed that the '03's had different cams, pullies, and a few other things. Most of them were dispelled except for the one about the pullies. Some other people chimed in and basically stated the same thing that one of the stock pullies is smaller and that u/d pullies have little effect on '03 GTs.

So my question is if there is anyone with an '03 that has done a before/after dyno with their pullies. What are your thoughts on this?

I have an '03 too and am interested in your question. I know that for '03 we have bigger valves and the suspension was tweaked.

Find someone with pullies then look at the stock ones.
stock crank pulley is a big sucker compared to the steeda.

If you want to do a little test with your car, to understand the drag that pullies cause on the crank. Pop your hood run it at idle with your defroster on. When the A/C clutch engages listen to your engine and watch the tentioner/belt. You will see and hear how much drag was created on the crank.

I am bringing this back from the dead as I am most likely about to purchase a steeda timing adjuster and can't decide about getting the pullies at the same time. If they will definitely be of benefit then I would like to get them, although I am really paranoid about the reports of the Steeda crank bolt breaking off. What do you think?

03 here as well. I have no technical proof of this but, I understand that pullies on 03's were optimized by Ford and aftermarket UD pullies have little effect on 03 performance. Can anyone prove me wrong. If they can, I will buy UD pullies in a heart beat!
