Is it necessary to disable the airbag & remove the dash just to temporarily unhook the heater core. Can I use 2 bypass plugs for exit and entrance points to engine without taking out the dash? I’m new at mechanic-ing, lol.

The 4.6 requires the coolant flow through the heater to work correctly. So do NOT disconnect and plug the heater lines. Instead LOOP the lines to each other instead. All of this can be done from inside the engine bay. No dash work required.

Oh thank you. I just joined today and I’ve gotten off in the wrong forum. I actually have an ‘03 3.8L V6. Well now I know what an SN95 is. Ty I appreciate it.

FWIIW, you still should loop the heater hoses on the V6 as well. Do not plug them.
