Love it. I would like to restore a pace car some day to factory specs. I always loved them and would love to have one in my stable someday.

I have to say I genuinely love both of your cars, man. Tasteful mods are the name of the game. Your Cobra reminds me of a matchbox car for some reason, haha.

Good for you! It looks a billion times nicer than a restored pace car and it's yours so do want you want with it.

Love it!!! Great job!!! Always been a fan of the early four eyes. My best friend growing up had a 79 Pace Car as well. His was the 2.3 turbo though. Always wanted one for myself.

I think everything looks great, I love what you've done with it and I actually would like to know what steering wheel that is because I've been slowly making mental notes of wheels I like for when I finally get around to ditching my ugly stocker.

Yes, yes it does. IF you would like me to vomit on the floor and throw some stripes on it I would be more than happy to create a new pace car for you.

Did the factory doors come with the handles mounted towards the bottom and the window crank lookin all trick like that? If not, I think that's my favorite part along with the center console.

Yes, the 1979 mustangs were the only fox body that had the handles at the bottom of the doors. However, the window cranks have been updated to not look like 70's peices.

Yup yup...this is a pic I took of my old 79's door handle, because it is so cool/unique. I might just buy this car back now that I think about it...it needs a ton of work but it might be fun...

I remember the first time i got in a '79...it was the parts car i got my nose off of. When i went to get out i had this moment of complete WTF because at the time i had no idea the handles were on the bottom.

So that's what you feel about the first fox bodied Mustang? The Mustang that was good enough to be a pace car? The Mustang that changed the way people look at our beloved pony car? Really? Vomit?

Yeaaazzzz I was kinda wondering about that harsh reply, too. I am not sure what makes the Pace Car any different than an 82 GT, which is one of the most beloved and sought-after fox Mustangs. If the paint scheme doesn't suit you, thats fine...it is a unique scheme because it was created for a special occasion...but to relate it to a pile of vomit with stripes? Come on...
