actually, it looks closer to 10k. Might want to check your idle speed on that carb.

Congrats, it's cool to see someone actually finished - now go and save some money! (or take track lessons to help you deal with all that new "fun" )

that's one fine stang, now why did I have to choose a rare/hard-to-find-parts-for/aftermarket-hates-us '70 convertible. Might take more than 5 years . . .

i was wondering when someone was going to notice that - for some reason it does that whe i tun the car off.

last time at the races some import kid asked and i told him it was the tach recall and i rev to 9500rpms

Can you post more pics of the battery switch where the old fuel cap was? For my drag 67 we are putting a fuel cell and wanted to think of something to do with old fuel cap, and I love your idea! If you any more pics or a description that would be great, thanks man!

I'm sure this has been beat to a bloody pulp, but how did you fit your 11" wide rims out back? What offset are you using? I would love to squeeze a set of 10.5-11" rims out back of my 70 mach but all the rims i find that i like have 6" or more backspacing and i don't think those will work (I know about dodgestangs chart ). Oh, and i love those seats and door panels! One trick ride man

thats clean looking,you can hang out in my town anytime

On the tach,make sure the ground is the ground,after i messed with my guage cluster i hooked up my tach wrong it did the same thing,i had the ground getting power somehow.

I had a custom size rearend made to fit the 17 x11's with 5 1/2" backspacing.

i didn't do it on purpose... my 3rd 8" blew so i had planned on building a 9"- my brother wanted to go to 18's rims + with our other project so i tried to see if there was a way to make them fit.stuck them in the wheel well and they did without hitting the leaf and fender so i had the rearend made to fit them.

Subtle details that make a difference!

12sec67, very nicely done! You did a lot of little things to make a coupe really look sweet and stand out. What I like: rear ducktail spoiler, non-Shelby stripe, stance and wheel package look great, clean grill, interior door panels, non-white face guage package (thinking of doing this on mine, especially after seeing Reen's post. Did you do these yourself or buy them?). Need some underhood pics too! Great ride and great work

the under the hood pics will come as soon as i have a chance to clean up all the overspray in the engine compartment.

the gauges weren't that hard to get them to fit. i took apart the back metal reinforcement and cut the metal hole bigger to accept the larger back part of the gauges then trimmed the guages custer plastic to make them fit tight to the face-- took the wiring for the lights that went to the stock ones and spliced them into the new ones.

i had to upgrade the plastic gauge cluster anyway so i started cutting the stock one up without any worries to see if i could make them fit
