Upgrade my T-5

Not much past what a healthy 302 and sticky tires can dish out. On street tires and with someone who knows how to shift, though, a T-5 can last a while. What T-5s are you talking here? I think Mustang 5.0 T-5s after 1990 could handle 300ft-lbs, Cobras a little more (310?), Motorsport ones would do 330ft-lbs, and all other T-5s were like 265 and less. If you are looking for parts or service, Astro (APW) has done me well in the past.

Rebuild kits don't replace the hard gears and shafts which is what typically fails.

If you want strenght, you'll need to buy a new T-5 gearset. The Z-spec kit is $400 and rated to 330 ft-lbs. Stonger gearsets from astro performance or g-force can cost much more.
