Hey everyone. Hopefully someone has a solution to my problem. Here it is.
I recently swapped my stock heads and intake for a set of GT40X heads and GT40 Tubular intake. Now when the engine is running I am getting a loud pop back through the intake. I have triple checked that the timing is good, vacuum is good, and the EGR valve has been tested.
This part is killing me. After rechecking all vaccuum fittings I neglected to plug in the IAC and Mass air plugs. The motor ran great at that point except for the popping, which slowed to about one pop every 30 seconds. When the IAC was plugged back in, the popping became constant again. When the mass air plug is installed, the motor won't even run. I'm completely confused.
Is it possible that my new heads have a valve or two sticking open?
