Well, I have a question that someone on here may have ran across over the years..In December I had all the lugs sheer off on the passenger rear axle. Well, today I had two of the lugs sheer without warning. Just like what it did in December. All lugs are tight when it does this. Any ideas? It only does this on the passenger side. Last June I had to replace the housing and a few months later I replaced the axles. For the mean time I have a spare rear end out of a 95 R-model that will be under it. Only problem is that it doen't have 31 spline axles or an Auburn in it.

Do you use a torque wrench to tighten the lug nuts, or an air impact? Might be over-tightening the lugs if you're going over 100 ft/lbs.

After the differential change, are you still using the same stud and lug length from the previous differential (just checking)?
