I always hear people ragging on the Ford OE. I've the 'premium' six speaker and sometimes on the right songs with the right EQ it sounds pretty on point!

What are the odds the reason my drivers doorcard is all jacked up with clips ripped out wasn't the 2nd owner trying to restore anything at all and rather it was them putting in some phat speakers? I still haven't looked into clipping back my vert's rear speaker grille back into place properly.. the passenger one is outta place too.. there's a lot of space back there for gubbins!

I'm rooting for Ford OE paper cones personally. I'll report back when I get to it but either way I'll be keeping the OE equipment. (If it's there!)

I might add something ratchet like one of these underseat active subs.. all any of us want on the drive is a bit of rhythm if we're being honest? I too like to hear all the mechanics whirring about.

Did they work prior? Did you remove the amp?

Couple different ways to answer this but essentially it comes down to the body wiring. Doors and dash are wired in parallel on all 1990+. SO if oyu ditch the amp wiring and plug your new radio right into the body harness, all 6 speakers should work.

If oyu are missing some then perhaps you crossed a few wires accidentally?

when I got the car it had no deck they had a aftermarket and this bunch of wires and it has 6 speakers all infinity kappa so speaker wire is under the dash and to the back speakers just got the back to work both are blown and I've only got the door speakers to work and what harness do I have

and it looks like he had a 4 channel amp running the speakers and I've never seen these box things on a rear 6x9 is it a blocker I'll have to reach it

Yeah, that's been all modified. Unfortunately not much i can tell you from here. It just needs to be gone through to determine what goes where
