I knew that it was going but the whole damn thing just dropped one day! I saw that it was cracking sometime last year. I upgraded to the MM torque arm suspension a couple of months ago so I didn't need the upper control arms at all. One day I was hear a loud rattling and I jack the car up and the damn thing was laying over the axle! The muffler was the only thing holding it up! I examined the car and there isn't any cracks in the frame so I should be fine. I shouldn't worry about anything right? Check out the pics.

Clean spot is where it used to be:

So you can get a picture of how it's suppose to sit in there, the driver side.

If you have a Torque arm than I don't see why you need them? you didn't have any uppers arms on them anyways did you. I wouldn't worry about it. Weight Reduction :D

Weird....

The factory spot welds are junk, I personally have not had any issue after fully welding the seams on various cars ranging from 250-600hp, slicks, radials. I'm not a huge fan of the current available aftermarket upper TQ box supports however they do seem to work I guess. I am working on something though.....

well then what stress broke them?

They started to go when I had the bbk uppers on there. You can here it make noise everytime I went over a bump. This was last year. I just got the torque arm put in a couple of months ago. The funny thing is when the uppers were connected they held up. IT wasn't untill they were free of stress (only the weight of the muffler) is when it decided to fall out.

Lesson to all: UP GRADE THOSE TORQUE BOXES!! :nice:

BTW: I don't need it anymore. I'll keep it around the house to show the Mustang buddies! :D
