UPR clutch quadrant ?

What exactly is the difference between the speed release quadrant and the triple pick-up quadrant? What do you all recommend for daily driving and will it make a difference which one I get? Also how would an Autozone clutch cable hold up compared to an OEM ford one?

i would get a ford cable even though its a lot more expensive. i workd at advance auto and our cables are crap. ive got the extreme triple quadrant....dont know what the difference is between the normal triple quadrant. but id recommend getting the triple hook and a firewall adjuster. ive got the upr extreme firewall adjuster and its nice

Get this... Ford Racing OEM clutch cable, and the double hook Steeda Quadrant. You will have to shim the space between the new quadrant, I used rubber hose.
I put these in earlier this month, with the Steeda firewall adjuster, and they work fine. If you need a new clutch fork too go here.

unless you are dragracing, get the multi hook quadrant.
and the oem non adjustable teflon lined cables are best liked. gonna need a FWA too.

that said, Hence's set up sounds pretty good.

OK so I will get the triple hook quadrant and the FWA. Now with the cable... I can't find it on CJ's Pony Parts. Maybe you can provide me with a direct link or something.

Yeah, I have both the quickrelease and the triple hook. Depending on your driving style, you may like the quickrelease, although I didn't like it. It basically shortens the travel needed to engage and disengage the clutch. Talk about lightening quick gear changes. Just brush the clutch and you can shift gears. Down side is you need to be really good with the clutch foot since the point where you can slip the clutch a bit is really small. After 1 too many stalls coming out of gas stations and such, I gave up and got the triple hook.

Dtowncats, Hence supplied the info, not me. i just said that it sounded good to me.

Blk92, that is interesting. i think you are right. the only problem is that if you end up with a heavy PP or jerky pedal travel, it makes parking lot maneuvers a pain. i have not had the pleasure of an OEM cable, but the aftermarket one i have is a bear (not real smooth), and i would not want any quicker engagement. but, were it smooth, a racing quadrant might be nice. good info bud.

I love the quick release. Don't have the control problems blk92stangt mentioned, but I have a stock replacement clutch - which handles my power no problem - and the stock cable.
