upr extreme firewall adjuster?

I just installed upr's tripple hook quadrant and started on the extreme firewall adjuster, the directions tell you to remove the rubber grommet. I removed the rubber grommet but the white plastic piece is in the way. Before i remove that plastic piece and ruin my clutch cable figured ask someone that has installed this before. Thanks for any help.

Did you get it yet? As many times as I've done this and as many different cables as I've used I don't remember any white plastic peice being in the way, just the black rubber donut at the firewall end, which comes off. Nothing that would be considered ruining the cable, that's for sure. You want to be left with something that will fit in the FWA, and it should be pretty easy to see before you start pulling it apart. Good choice on parts! You'll be happy with it.

I had to remove the donut and file away 4 little bumps so that the plastic piece would fit in the FWA.

Thanks for the help those 4 little bumps you are talking about are whats in the way. I'll remove those so it will fit. Thanks again.
