what kind of gains(horsepower, 1/4 mile, SOTP) should be expected with the addition of a upr x pipe on a 98gt with only weld in flowmasters and a k&n? this has probably been asked a million times but im lazy and want a quick answer. thanks fellas

Read that ...they tried an o/r X and H on a stang with only K&N and flowmasters ..They gained 17.7 hp and 20.4 ft lbs of torque over stock with the X ...sounds a little high to me ..but either way its an interesting article that should answer some exhaust questions

That's an old article, biased, and IMO the numbers are inflated.

I know the numbers are high ...thats what I said ...but the article still puts things into perspective for the X pipe and H ...sound and performance wise ...You'll gain a few horses with the UPR and a lot of sound ...its a good exhaust mod

thanks for the replies, but i have a few more questions so bare with me. is it a good idea to replace the passenger side studs while changing the midpipe, if so do u have a part number? also does the upr x pipe come with new gaskets or will i have to but those seperate? and ive heard that its a pain in the a$$ to get the passenger side 02 sensor off, whats the best way to go about this? thanks in advance.

Well they have dyno sheets, but even if the numbers are inflated a bit, one thing caught my attention: There's no loss of torque with the X-Pipe.... I have heard people say you lose torque when going with an X, but it not only made more torque than stock but it made more than the H.
