Urgent fuel cell help

I have an 88 gt and I've mounted the battery and 8 gallon fuel cell in the rear hatch area. I have removed the spare tire hole and installed a flat piece of steel that the fuel cell sits on. The battery is enclosed in a box.

In order to pass tech at the track, I need to enclose the fuel cell or make/buy a divider to seperate the hatch area from the driver area.

I saw an article somewhere that mentioned a company that makes this divider. Can anyone help me track it down or suggest something else? I am trying to race this coming weekend at the Fun Ford event in Richmond.

you could just remove the stock fuel tank...which im sure you did and mount the 8 gallon tank underneath the car with some custom straps or whatever and cut a hole in the hatch area floor to have the filler neck so you can fill it

The stock tank has been removed. Because the fuel cell is plastic, I would still need to fabricate a steel box for under the car.

it wouldnt be hard to do that....and it wouldnt take that long either.

When I constructed a 'fire wall' for the back of my SCCA racer a few years back, I used a big piece of cardboard as a template, cut/adjusted til the cardboard covered the opening between trunk and passenger compartment, and then transferred the cardboard shape to a piece of aluminum about 1/8" thick. Cut it with a jig saw - bolted/riveted it into place.
