ok guys, I got a 90 gt with a stock exhaust system, it's in good shape except for the fact that the driver side muffler has a big ass chunk cut out of the bottom. (the muffler rusted and was hanging open so I cut off the metal that was hanging so it wouldn't scrape on speed bumps any more) As far as I know that is all I need to replace. I need to get my car inspected by the end of the month so I have to work fast. I've decided to go with the mac flowpath mufflers. However I've go a couple of problems that I need to solve.
First of all I've heard over and over again how the mac cat back systems are known for rusting.
QUESTION #1: if I were to get a set of the stainless steel flowpath mufflers, and a pair of the stainless steel flowtubes, they should weld/clamp right up to each other and the stock H pipe and fit good right?
QUESTION #2: Do I need tail pipes in order to pass inspection in NJ?
QUESTION #3: What all do they inspect in NJ? emissions, brakes, etc.
I appreciate any info ya got.
Thanks
