use diodes for factory keyless enrty? when adding aftermarket alarm?

have a 98 gt with keyless entry...
have an aftermarket alarm im tryin to wire in (Avital 2300)
i was told i need to add diodes somewhere so the two systems don't interfere with each other, which they are! :bang:
i installled the avital alarm and it works fine...

the problem is my factory alarm is going off when i get into the car.the Avital alarm is arming the factory alarm.. understood... WHY DOESNT IT DISABLE IT ALSO:mad: the Avital alarm disables like its suppose to, and doesnt go off.

how do i get the Avital alarm to work with the factory, or disable the factory alarm totally??

ive looked thru forums everywhere, they all mention diodes. where do i wire in the diodes?!?!?!

if anyone knows or even thinks they might, would be greeatly appreciated

you do not need diodes to do a simple alarm/keyless on that year model. unless it has the wiring of a 99.

what month/year was your mustang made? (look in the door jam)

*edit: also, if the factory alarm is going off when you get in, you can turn it off by sticking the key in the door key cylinder and turn it off. you may just need to disable your factory alarm and thats all.
