Used Headers?

Hey All,

A buddy of mine has a nice set of bbk shorty headers on his '85 mustang and is going buy some long tubes. So i can get his bbk's for almost nothing. But i heard that headers with individual flanges can warp which can cause them to not fit right. Should I avoid these and save up for new one's or will i be ok?

Depending upon what "almost nothing" is, if you're willing to fight them on, they'll be fine once they're installed.

this is true about the individual flanged headers but if you happen to get a good set youll be fine...i have my old set sitting in the garage...i had a problem with one tube on the passenger side when i first got em and i just retorqued and it was fine...the only reason i took them off was because i went to gt40p heads...
