V3 Installed!!! Lots Of Pics

I should really take a scan of the print out but it's out in the garage and I'm too lazy, so here's a picture of the computer screen.

13lbs of boost @6000rpm :O which is a little more than I was expecting lol

Had just a few small issues.
First issue was the supercharger belt was slipping. Apparently shoulder tight isn't tight enough lol. We took a block of wood and gave the tensioner bracket a few love taps (after loosening it of course) and that seemed to do the trick.
Second issue, with 4.10 gears, street tires, no weight in the back, and damp conditions, we had some wheel spin. Put a couple big bodies in the back and it was resolved.
Third issue was some misfiring above 5500 rpm. Ignition is mostly stock save for a MSD coil, 3924 plugs gapped at 0.028, FRPP plug wires. I thought an MSD box was in my future, but after he made some timing adjustments it went away and ran great. I don't really plan on revving past 5500rpm very often anyway. He said the timing was set at 20*.

The drive home was rain and even some slushy ice on the windshield, so I didn't get to play with it any.

Great results for sure! That torque number is HUGE and should make it one heck of a ride on the street. Are you looking at putting a set of drag radials on the car at all? Obviously not the best choice for the rain but they will change the car completely on the street

The car was a torque monster even before the blower, made a little over 340rwtq. I credit the AFR 165s, Performer intake, and putting the Trick Flow #1 in +2 for that.
I really need to invest in some Nitto DR's. The car doesn't go out if rain is in the forecast. How many miles do people usually get out of Nitto DR's?

The dyno guy was saying that the new V3's are pretty badass. I guess a gain of 190rwhp and 132rwtq is proof lol.

I would say Nitto's can last up to around 15k miles with an avg life of around 5k. Really depends on how much abuse you give them. Lol. They hold the street well for my weak knee'd car. If you give them hell with the power you're making they still are going to spin:smoke.

that's some insane #'s there.. 550 crank hp on a stock block!

I am getting my car Dyno tuned next week with the V3 on it.. It was around 292rwhp prior through an AOD ( 15-20% hp loss) with an HCI similar to yours and I want to only run about 8-10 of boost ( stock block).. I'll post my dyno sheet. looking for around 425rwhp..

Don't be surprised if you make more lol. Mine has a 3.33" upper and still made 13lbs, but I also have a power pipe.

yep- got the powerpipe. A stick transfers about 5% more than an AOD to the rear wheels as it is more efficient. My tuner and I agree to try and keep the block in 1 piece than trying to squeezze out every last extra hp. 475rwhp and I'd shat a brick..lol

Nice numbers. I'd say you've pretty much got those 42lb injectors tapped out.....and the stock fuel rails for that matter.

94% duty cycle at 6000. Going to get an aluminum driveshaft and then start saving for a Dart/FRPP block and fuel system upgrades....$$$$

Indeed. The Nitto's are great if you are looking for the longest service life out of a drag radial. If you want traction though, I've never had anything but excellent results from the Mickey Thompson E/T Street Radials. They'll make your butt hole pucker in the rain, but I've never seen any street tire hook like they do.

Try a 3923 autolite plug, 1 step colder. Nice numbers.

They are expensive, but I absolutely love my Toyo R888's. They are more of a road race/auto x tire, but grip REALLY well, and you dont have all the wonky sidewall flex for unstable cornering. They are also much better in the rain than the Mickey's I ran before, in case you happen to get caught in an occasional shower. I just have stock coyote power, and I have managed to burn up my clutch more than the tires. At the same time, I have learned I like burnouts and donuts more than the VERY rare stop light affair, so I wont be investing the money in them again, because they hook that well.

PS, congrats on those numbers. That is a well put together combo.

Not worth it in my opinon unless the car sees more boost, 16 lbs or more i would be a buyer for sure.

Never had an issue and never burned up a customers motor ( i mean we've only done a few hundred ). The driveability is better with the hotter plug and so long as they are gapped tight there isnt an issue with spark blow out
