V6 steering column/shaft fit in my GT ?

anyone know if a column and shaft from a 96 V6 fit in my 96 GT ?

Try this trick. Go to car-part.com. Search for the part of interest. If the web site does not ask for model information, you can assume there is no difference between the V6 and the GT version.

When I search on 96 Mustang steering column, the web site asks if Manual or Automatic transmission and if there is a cruise control.

So I would say there isn't a difference.
