Just wondering who here is using a V8 adjustable cable. V8 quadrant and firewall adjuster?

My 351w is going automatic andI 'm looking to use up some parts, Especially since I'm having clutch problems anyway.

The V8 cable housing is shorter...but it doesn't look like it will affect anything.

Are there any problems when using this entire thing?

I don't think it will work just throwing it in...I don't remember why though.

Quadrant and FWA are the same, I'm running the UPR right now. The diff between the 5.0 and 2.3 main cables is the attachment point at the clutch end, and maybe length as well. I'm sure you could get rid of it easily in the 5.0 section.

yeah i read that same thing that you posted on TF a while back. I'll keep it, since the only real way to get my money out of it is to use it.

I believe the old 4 speed bellhousing will allow you to use it...

I have used the BBK 5.0 cable on my 90 lx. I did have to make a new yoke at the bellhousing end though. the BBK uses a threaded end at the bellhousing and the hole in the yoke was too small. When I tried to drill it larger the yoke cracked. I Flattened some exhaust tubing and made a new yoke out of that. I also had to cut some of the threaded portion off, because it was too long.
