I started a V8 swap on my 03 about 6 months ago and got an engine and trans out of a junkyard out of a 96 and the engine harness and pcm out of a 98 does anyone know any way to do the electrical part of this swap?
The 1996-1998 is a very different car electrically than a 1999-2004 model year. Expect problems trying to transplant a wiring harness across this key model year boundary.
IMO you would be soooooooooooo much better served to use a donor car that is close to the model year as the original.
I mean i'm running a lot of stuff off a separate circuit (fuel pump, fan) is there any way I can just give power to the PCM and have it control the engine only?
