Vacuum Advance

I recently decided to go the route of an auto lite 4100 for my 66 coupe. The car had a Holley on it when i purchased it with the newer style vacuum advance with the rubber hose. Well I want to go to a steal vacuum advance hose (do to the inability to find the hose adapter for the auto lite.) I cannot seem to find the threaded vacuum advance for a 66. Anyone know where i can find the original vacuum advance with the threads for the steel hose?


I have been able to find the 6cyl vacuum advance, with the threads for the steel hose. Would that suffice, or cause to many dive-ability issues that i wouldn't want to deal with?

what i did was to check my local hardware store for a brass fitting that has the proper size hose nipple that screws into the autolite carb body. that way i could use the vacuum hose.

I did that, but no luck. I guess Ill keep trying though. Thanks for the help though. I guess thats what i get for living in a crappy Sierra Vista.

if there is an advance auto there, they have brass fittings also. in fact i think the local napa store there as them as well. if not you can always make the 50 mile drive up here to tucson and check out the ace hardware near me.

another thought that hit me, check out brake line fittings. on an old autolite 2bbl and on an old holley i used a tube and nut from a brake line, 3/16 i think, i just cut off what i didnt need. you might also be able to use the metal line from an early styel vacuum advance line, just cut off what you dont need and hook the hose up to that.

After checking everywhere else including Lowes and Home Depot(which was disappointing) found a somewhat compatible one from Ace. Tight fit but it worked. Thanks for the help.
