vacuum lines under intake

so i have a recently purchased 95gt i have been working on a bit..
it has tfs intake and i can hear a very noticable air leak coming from under the intake? ...so i poke around with my fingers and fine 2 fittings just sucking air

when i plug them the car does idle mucho better

i have searched the forum and am i correct on that they run to the intake?

what r they for ?

i should take of the upper and connect them with some new rubber hose or what not.
i read in a thread that tfs has 4 fittings under it? before i take it off i just wanna have an idea

if there is 4 how will iknow which to use ,labeled,size,etc..

how and why the hell was the previos owner driving around like that

oh one more thing it has a pro m75 why r these frowned on?

the stock intake in the picture below has 3 vacuum ports 2 under the inake and 1 on the side so if all 3 vacuum lines are connected on yours you should be fine is does not matter where you connect the vacuum lines as ling as the line fits snug on the fittings you will need to plug 2 fittings if you have four underneath and one on the side connected.

I replaced all the vacuum lines with new ones and put hose clamps/zipties on all my connections - especially the ones under the intake. Keeps 'em from popping off.

There are 4 vac ports under the TFS intake. If you remove the upper intake, measure the nipple sizes, you can get rubber caps for all 4. That is what I did.

I made a small vacuum tree, hooking it to the vac port on the TB; The tree was for anything that hooked up under the intake. It makes it much easier to r/i the intake or t-shoot vac leaks.

The small nipple goes to the canister purge valve, and the other two run to the PVC valve

i was thinking about gaskets ?

ok to reuse the gasket between upper and lower if in good shape?

if not i will get one from trick flow?

any thing else while the upper is off?

i could ,should or might have to buy just in case?

Yeah, as long as they are not torn. they don't get any fluids so no need to worry there. You can get new gaskets from summit or local speed shops.

While you have it off, you should check your PCV functionality and seal to the intake. Make sure the intake bolts are tight. Also check your header bolts too, they get loose really easily.

If the plugs/plug wires are old, you should change them out. Much easier w/ the intake off.
