VALVE ADJUSTMENT

I just put 790 miles on my engine rebuild (1969 302CI). I was driving through town and all of a sudden the car started hesitating under acceleration and then the engine started tapping quite loudly. I think the valves may be loose or need to be readjusted. Does anyone have a step by step instruction on how to adjust the valves on this engine?

There was no adjustment on a 69 302 for the valves. These heads have positive stop rocker studs. Bolt em down and torque to about 25 ft/lbs. There's one of three things happening here, One is the rocker studs are pulling loose from an agressive cam. Two is the rocker nuts have backed off. Three is the cam and lifters are wiping each other out.
