im lookin to get some valve covers for my 2002 4.6l 281 cubic inch gt but cant really seem to find any nice ones. The only ones i can find are the BBK ones which i dont really like. I would like to find the older style ones that are black with polished aluminum that say powered by ford but i dont think they make them for the newer models. If anyone knows where i could find a nice set of valve covers other than the bbk ones id really appreciate your help here thanks.

It's always annoyed me that the 4.6 has been around for more than 10 years, but Ford Racing has yet to come up with any valve covers for it. They've got an entire catalog of parts for the Focus, but can't give us one of the most basic, classic dress-up items for V8 engines.

I like the ones for the 5.0 that are black with polished fins, say "Ford Racing" on them.

I would say paint your own covers. That site is neat and the covers are cool, but with all our stuff in the engine bay, you cant even tell those nice covers are in there.
Some guy on Cardomain had a pictorial on how he painted his red, turned out nice!

I am in the process of painting mine also but mine is going to be gloss black with aluminum stripes. I like the painted ones better and they are a lot cheaper.
