How can I manually turn the engine to get the pistons up to TDC. Sorry if this sounds stupid but I just cant do it. Does the block need to be outside of the car disengaged from the tranny? I figured I could pull the e-brake, put it in neutral and turn, clockwise correct? Thanks

Just take the 2 minutes to take the belt off and then put a big breaker bar and socket on the crank pulley nut and turn away....it should actually move quite easily. Is the car running? or has it sat for a while?
