venom 400 Question

Has anyone tried a vwnom 400 control module? It bosts a 25% hp increase and inproved throttle response. It costs 300$ and sumitracing sells it . I was woundering if anyone has it and likes it or is it a wast of money. So far I only have a cat back exhaust on my car. Thanks

That thing is bogus. Think about it, a stock 5.0 has 215hp. A 25% increase is gonna give you more than 50hp? BS! The only chip/module whatever worth getting is either a custom chip or twEECer, and that's really only after you have some mods done.

I was also lookin into the Venom 400 a year or so ago, but someone explained to me how it's not what they claim, it's more of a play on words. It's not really gonna give you 25% more hp, it will just advance the throttle response so that your engine is putting out 25% more of the horsepower it already has, just at an earlier RPM. That's just how someone explained it to me.

I think its sort of a classic case of "if it's too good to be true....it probably is"
