After taking my missing and running like junk to a ford dealership and them telling me to take it to a hi perf. shop(BS), i decided to take it to this local reputable place.
I drop the car off monday. They call and tell me they think its running bad cause the smog pump isnt routed in the belt, and i dont have cats. I told them how it was and said to look for something else. So tuesday they didnt get anything done either. Finally wed. they found a vacuum leak under the upper intake and determined i needed a new Ignition Module(which is what i thought it was). So i call them today (thurs). And they said its still pigging and leaning out(running rough). The guys said hes out of ideas. But hes bringing some guy in he knows that has a "hot shot idea" on what it could be.
This is so frustrating after two places the issue still isnt being solved. And i know they are going to charge me an arm and a leg for trying to diagnose it all this time, taking off the upperintake to get access to the vacuum leak, and putting in a new Ignition module. If they cant figure this out tomorrow im going to go insane. IT seems as if no one knows thats wrong with my car.
Another funny thing is. They guy said i might need bigger injectors because of my throttle body. I was like uhhhhh...no. He seemed to think the 65mm throttle body was making my car run bad. I told him ive had it on there for almost a year.
ARGGG im starting to think i should have just took the time to fix it myself. Instead of paying them 500-1000 bucks most likely(hopefully not though) Well time to put a bunch more crap on the old Credit CARD...arg
