This is the first time it's ever happened to me. I know the door flap is controlled by vacuum. I haven't had time to look for the problem, but could you guys start listing normal places this breaks at?

Thanks in advance for any help. It's a hot MOFO here. :nonono:

There is a small vacuum line running from the vacuum tree on the driver side fender near the firewall, behind the intake, to the passenger side, where it goes through the firewall. It's most likely broken. I have a pic around here somewhere, I'll scrounge it up for you.

Here ya go:

EDIT: Oh yea, to fix it, just go to your parts store (Advanced Auto, O'Reilly's whatever) and just get some vacuum hose that fits over that (you won't find any that will fit inside it) and get some way to clamp it on. I just used electrical tape, and it's held up just fine for over a year now. Good luck

Good thing about that is one of the quickest, easiest, cheapest fixes on a common problem. RC

It's about time I found an easy fix. Hopefully it'll be as easy as everyone elses. :D

Thanks again everyone. I've been swamped with a new job, and trying to get a new design finished for 100mphclub.com - we just had our first annual Power Tour in our area. :nice:

Pulled in tonight, popped the hood to let it cool down while I went to change clothes. Thought I would take a quick peek and what do you know. The little plastic tube isn't connected to the tree. Actually took longer than I expected to get the broke end out of the rubber reducer, but I cleaned it out, pushed it back in... put it back on the tree and there you go. Vents worked again.

Thanks everyone! Solutions posted with pics even. :nice:
